new t[3] avi format and alpha channel

Just curious if anyone knows the answer to this. Does the avi wrapper format that will be in t[3] include alpha channel info?

For example, if you just put a single video layer in a timeline, made it an overlay and a pip and wrapped the timeline in an avi, would that resultant avi include the underlying alpha or just black video?
