Hello All;
I am having a strange thing happen that I don't understand and I don't know if it is normal or if I have something set wrong.

First off, I am capturing audio/video content from the VCR. In the capture panel, I have I have the Video fcodec set to Newtek .RTV file, and the Audio Codec set to Separate .Wav file. I thought this was the way I have always had it in the past.

However when I capture a clip, and then load it into ToasterEdit, I get two audio files ... one says "VideoClip10.rtv", and the other says "Videoclip10.wav" but it is always a bit longer than the .rtv file, and the green waveform seems to be out of sync with the .rtv audio file.

In the past, I used to only get the .rtv audio file (When the video clip is dragged into TED) even though a .wav file would automatically be produced in the capture directory.

NOW ... a wave file seems to be brought in to ToasterEdit ALSO and it is longer and out-of-sync - slightly ahead) of the .rtv audio waveform. I am able to delete this .wav file and the audio still seems to play fine but I am curious why this .wav file shows up with the Video Clip where it never did before, and why it is out of sync.

What I would like to see (As in the past) is a single .rtv audio file brought into ToasterEdit, and a separate .wave file created in the capture directory of the exact same duration as the .rtv audio file.

Thanks for any advice you can provide. When I start today's project, I want to be sure that all of my video clips won't be messed up for some reason due to the slightly longer (And out of sync) .wav file.

Tim

Which T[2] software version are you using? If you're not running 3890 you should be, it (and at least a couple previous versions) only generate a (one) separate .wav file.
