I have a job where I need very detailed columns. On the old forum there was someone who made these amazing architectural columns. I can't recall who made them. If you are around I would like to talk to you about some up coming work. Please drop me a note at info@digital3dview.com

They are some impressive pillars, i was looking at them and thinking, how on earth do u make those curls. So i had a quick go and this is as far as i got.
I hope the guy who made those doesn't mind me tryin to duplicate his design. In the end i used magic bevel.

I would create 2-point poly chains along where I wanted the ridges in the spirals to be, then create polys betwixt them and ground bevel/smooth shift those polys inward to define the ridges.

Anyone know where I can get a tute on how to make these? or any of the other types of Pillars or order of Architecture like Corinthian I can do the Doric and Tuscan.
