I appologize first because I have been away from forums for awhile. We still use our trusty vt4.6 and frankly, I didn't know vt5.x was released until today. We have vt 5.0 since its release, but it has be sitting on the shelf because SpeedEdit 1.0 left a bad taste in our mouths. We wasn't too eagered to have a similar experience with vt5.0. So my question is...is it okay to come out and play with 5.2b? We are quite happy with vt4.6. We are using SpeedEdit 1.55 and we are so what happy with it. But when I have the choice to edit, I still use vt4.6. I think vt4.6 is much faster to work with. I want to upgrade, but not at the cost of pulling the rest of my hair out.

Well, SpeedEDIT 1.5.5 is SpeedEDIT-VT in VT[5.2], except for the change with Quicktime support.

Your computer hardware components and configuration will most certainly have an impact on your vT[5] performance, compared to your successes with that fast and venerable VT[4] version 4.6, which we also have here, in an older workstation (We admire its prowess as well).

One can only suggest you take the new VT[5] version for a test-drive, and see...
